Start the day with long tail boat on to reach its destination point the “Thai Farmer’s House”. Agriculture remains Thailand’s largest source of income and here the visitor can discover the basic elements-rice, local herbs, fruits, fishing-all thriving in a chemical-free environment. Then stroll around the alleyways of the old trader community of Wat Gatekaram, before continuing on Warorot market, It is a must-visit for food lovers as it offers a wide range of ready-to-eat meals, local snacks and all kinds of fresh produce. A large section of the market features inexpensive goods, such as clothing, fashion accessories and personal care products. Your day also includes a visit to Wat Chedi Luang, one of the most spectacular ruins in the old city that once housed the Emerald Buddha.

After that, enjoy this lovely day with a delicious bowl of Khao Soi. This famous Northern Thai dish is a combination of coconut cream, crispy noodles and plenty of spice that is sure to delight!

The highlight of the day for many is Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the temple on the mountain, the most sacred temple upon the hill with its enormous mythological Nagas staircase of 306 steps and inside the cloister is an intriguing copper-placed chedi topped by five-tier gold parasol, which contains relics of Lord Buddha.Have experience to give the offering dedicated to the monks and then receive blessing from them. On a clear day, there are incomparable views over the city of Chiangmai from the temple grounds.

Much of the fun of the day is traversing the city using various modes of local transport including a songthaew, long tail boat and the ubiquitous 3-wheeler tuk-tuk. This combination ensures that you get the chance to explore areas of the city that most visitors do not get to see.
